The pattern in my watercolor paintings often resembles the pattern in the mineral stone agate. Take a closer look at the watercolor painting above and the two below and you'll see what I mean.
I call this watercolor technic "agatating". I couldn't find the word "agatated" in the english dictionary, but I think it's the precice word for this watercolor painting technic.
Agates are most commonly found as nodules within the cavities of volcanic rocks.
